I am a small business owner and a Correctional Sergeant. I have served our community as a First Responder in the areas of EMS, Fire Service, and Corrections for twenty-six years. I have lived in Assembly District 5 for twenty-four years since moving to Nevada over thirty years ago.
WHY RUN FOR NEVADA STATE ASSEMBLY DISTRICT 5?
Over the years as a first responder and emergency services regulator, I have worked on many legislative issues with our state legislators. I bring to the table decades of public service to our community. As a first responder, I have helped people through some of the worst times of their lives. As a regulator, I have assisted numerous government agencies to find solutions and overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles through the legislative process.
Throughout the pandemic, the never-ending closures of our economy and the government overreach into our businesses, homes, and schools revealed just how our rights and liberties were being attacked. It was during this time, I began in-depth *Civics studies and learned more about the Constitution. I +learned how far our leaders and We The People had allowed our rights and liberties to be trampled upon through our own complacency. It was evident, I must be part of the solution to Restore Our Freedoms.
As a State Assemblyman, I will focus on
Restoring Our Freedoms by limiting government and reining in government overreach. I believe this can better be accomplished by encouraging citizens everywhere to learn more about Civics, constitutional freedoms, and being involved in the success of their community. Community involvement helps create a community that is safer, has a strong growing local economy, is fiscally responsible, and has accountable government leadership. In addition, when we honor Law Enforcement, First Responders, Military Members, and Veterans, we help positively impact our community as well.
As we all know, people are any society's greatest asset. This is why it is paramount to invest in the education of children. A wise person once said, "Silver and gold will vanish away, But a good education will never decay.” This is a great reason to support restoring parental rights in education and school choice. I believe parents, not the government, are entrusted with the responsibility of training-up their children. Loving parents encourage their children to do their best in all areas of life This parent-child connection grows children into adult Leaders that are committed to excellence in all areas of life, exactly what our Nevadan communities need.
I look forward to serving others in my Assembly District 5 community. Together we will find solutions to protect our freedoms and individual liberties because "a house divided against itself cannot stand".

What's a Convention of States Anyway?
Article V of the U.S. Constitution gives states the power to call a Convention of States to propose amendments. It takes 34 states to call the convention and 38 to ratify any amendments that are proposed. Our Convention of States would allow the states to discuss amendments that would limit the power and jurisdictions of the federal government, impose fiscal restraints, and place term limits on federal officials.
As a constitutional coach, Kelly knows the importance of armed citizens with the knowledge of the law. Patriot Academy inspires citizens across the country to be trained in the Constitutional Foundations of Freedom. At Patriot Academy, you learn to analyze through the lens of these liberty principles (LIFT):
L - Limited Government, I - Individual Liberties,
F - Free Enterprise, T - Timeless Truths.
Patriot Academy's curriculum is for all ages. Our society lacks basic civics education and understanding of the values that made America the most successful nation in history.
