I am a small business owner and a Correctional Sergeant. I have served our community as a First Responder in the areas of EMS, Fire Service, and Corrections for over three decades. I have lived in Assembly District 5 for twenty-five years since moving to Nevada thirty years ago.
WHY RUN FOR NEVADA STATE ASSEMBLY DISTRICT 5?
Over the years as a first responder and emergency services regulator, I have worked on many legislative issues with state legislators. I bring decades of public service to our community. As a first responder, I have helped people through some of the worst times of their lives. As a regulator, I have assisted numerous government agencies through the legislative process, to find solutions and overcome obstacles that appeared insurmountable. But the chain of events that catalyzed me to run for office began during the 2020 pandemic.
During the 2020 pandemic, I witnessed daily the destructive closure of our economy, and government overreach in our businesses, homes, and schools. The rapid removal of our rights and liberties was disturbing. I saw good people stand silent and acquiesce. This was not the United States of America I grew up loving and respecting. We The People deserve government transparency, fiscal responsibility, safety, security, parental rights, top education, and public trust, just to mention a few. We need uncompromised leadership to fight for, protect, and maintain our freedoms. I knew it was my duty to serve and honor my four-time oath to the US Constitution. My call to action was clear, and I responded “YES.”
I look forward to serving the Assembly District 5 community. Together we will find solutions to protect our freedoms and individual liberties.

At Patriot Academy, people learn to analyze through the lens of these liberty principles (LIFT): L - Limited Government, I - Individual Liberties, F - Free Enterprise, T - Timeless Truths. Patriot Academy's curriculum is for all ages.
Unfortunately, our society lacks basic civics education and understanding of the values that made America the most successful nation in history.
As a Constitutional Coach, Kelly believes in the importance of equipping citizens with the Foundations of Freedom and Constitutional Law. He believes "it is the duty and privilege of every American generation to stand guard at the watchtower of freedom and carry the torch of freedom forward".
