ABOUT
I am a small business owner and a Correctional Lieutenant. I have served our community as a First Responder in Emergency Medical Services, a Firefighter, and in Corrections for over three decades. I have lived in Assembly District 5 for twenty-seven years since moving to Nevada thirty years ago.
WHY RUN FOR NEVADA STATE ASSEMBLY DISTRICT 5?
Over the years, I have worked on many legislative issues with state legislators as a First Responder and Emergency Services Regulator. I bring decades of public service to our community. As a First Responder, I have helped people through some of the worst times of their lives. As an Emergency Services Regulator, I have assisted numerous government agencies through the legislative process. I have helped them find solutions and overcome obstacles that appeared insurmountable. But the chain of events that catalyzed me to run for office began during the 2020 pandemic.
During the 2020 pandemic, I witnessed daily the destructive closure of our economy and government overreach in our businesses, homes, and schools. The rapid removal of our rights and liberties was disturbing. I saw good people stand silent and acquiesce. This was not the United States of America I grew up loving and respecting. We the People deserve government transparency, fiscal responsibility, safety, security, parental rights, top-notch education, and public trust. We need uncompromised leadership to fight for, protect, and maintain our freedoms. I knew it was my duty to serve and honor my oath to the US Constitution, which I had taken four times. My Call To Action was clear, and I responded, “YES.”
It is imperative that "We the People" stay involved in maintaining a strong Nevada and country for our children and future generations. One way I have stayed engaged is working as a Citizen Lobbyist with our Legislative Action Warrior (LAW) Team. During legislative session, we review bills that are to be presented and oppose or support legislation as needed.
As your representative in Assembly District 5, I look forward to making a difference and serving the community and all of Nevada. Only together, through communication and respect, will we find solutions to protect our freedoms and individual liberties.

Unfortunately, our society lacks basic civics education and understanding of the values that made America the most successful nation in history.
As a Constitutional Coach, Kelly believes in the importance of equipping citizens with the Foundations of Freedom and Constitutional Law. He believes "it is the duty and privilege of every American generation to stand guard at the watchtower of freedom and carry the torch of freedom forward".
